Who we areAbout Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

We design the products founders and finance teams use to understand their business and grow it. That spans two connected areas.

  • Data Products covers analytics, database, and data pipeline. These are the surfaces where a business asks questions of its own Stripe data and gets answers
  • Ecosystems and Startups covers Atlas, the App Marketplace, and the Business Network. These are how a company incorporates, connects to the tools around it, and transacts with other businesses on Stripe
What you’ll do

This role sits at the intersection of building trust in the internet economy, platform design, and new product creation, making it one of the most strategically important design opportunities at Stripe. It’s a strong fit for a designer who is energized by ambiguity, motivated by impact, and excited to shape both shared systems used across Stripe and net-new products.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements
  • 10+ years of design experience at a tech, product-driven company
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent craft, systems thinking, and end-to-end design, including a strong understanding of AI tools
  • Experience leading complex product work in close partnership with product management engineering, and design leadership
  • Experience shaping ambiguous spaces and driving clarity through design
  • A track record of influencing cross-functional teams and product direction
Preferred qualifications
  • Thrive in environments where the opportunity spans systems, strategy, and zero to one product thinking
  • Enjoy turning complex systems, policies, and edge cases into elegant product experiences
  • Are energized by ambiguous, strategic problem spaces, not just well-defined execution
  • Are an influential storyteller who can align partners around a clear point of view
  • Can move fluidly between big-picture thinking and interaction-level craft
  • Know how to build trust through design, especially in high-stakes or sensitive user moments
  • Work well across disciplines and build credibility with technical, operational, and policy-oriented partners
