We are currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our high-growth, results-oriented team! The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be a self-motivated, problem-solver with a positive attitude, and flexible in embracing change.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sourcing plans from traditional and non-traditional sources.
- Network with industry contacts, associations, trade groups to identify active and passive candidates.
- Evaluate candidate profiles for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in alignment with position requirements.
- Utilize competency-based assessment tools to consistently assess candidates, while providing comprehensive information about the company and role
- Facilitate a positive candidate experience by effectively managing and coordinating communication with candidates throughout the hiring process
- Build and maintain strong relationships with active and passive candidates, as well as hiring managers.
- Leverage TDP’s ATS to maintain accurate documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring mangers interactions and other recruiting activities
- Promote positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Schedule candidate calls and coordinate hiring manager interviews
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement recruiting solutions, support recruiting projects and reporting initiatives, including but not limited to participation in job fairs, maintaining relationships with universities, and professional associations.
- Participate in university recruiting events as needed
- Manage the hiring process consistent with TDP guidelines and policies
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a Recruiter within a Staffing Firm, Consulting Firm, or multi-site organization supporting a broad range of positions.
- Familiarity with key aspects of full life cycle recruitment, including but not limited to, sourcing channels, effective interviewing techniques, candidate management and pipelining, hiring manager engagement, employment law, offer negotiation, etc.
- Experience utilizing innovative sourcing techniques and leveraging networking expertise to establish connections and identify prospective talent
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret applicant data, to develop criteria for candidate selection and make hiring recommendations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders including senior leadership and C-suite executives.
- Experience working in a metric-driven environment with a desire for continuous improvement
- History of documenting, reporting, and maintaining the applicant flow in an ATS applicant tracking system
- Demonstrates resilience and exhibits a solution‑oriented mindset.
- Experience navigating high pressure situations and using tools (e.g., checklists, templates, time‑blocking) to create clarity and reduce uncertainty.
- Ability to communicate with authority, anticipate stakeholder needs and seeks guidance/input with solutions and enhancements.
- Thrives in complex or ambiguous situations, breaking down large goals into actionable steps, prioritizing effectively, and adjusting plans to ensure outcomes are met.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Local to the greater Chicago area and able to work out of our downtown Chicago office 4 days a week
Compensation
Competitive compensation consisting of base salary and an annual performance bonus
