POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for managing and supporting the Company's direct and indirect tax compliance obligations across the Americas region. This role coordinates with external tax service providers to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of federal, state, local, and foreign tax filings, estimated tax payments, and other tax compliance requirements. The position also supports sales and use tax compliance, property tax, business license renewals, tax account reconciliations, and special tax projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

· Tax Compliance and Reporting:

· Gather, validate, review and consolidate financial, tax, and operational data for external tax service providers to prepare tax returns, estimated tax payments, apportionment calculations, tax credit studies, and other tax compliance deliverables.

· Manage multi-state sales and use tax compliance and ensure timely filing of all tax obligations.

· Research, respond to, and resolve federal, state, and local tax notices.

· Reconcile assigned tax general ledger accounts and work with the accounting personnel to ensure entries are accurately & timely recorded for tax payments and refunds.

· Prepare business license renewals, property tax returns, unclaimed property returns, and other miscellaneous tax returns.

· Support and monitor foreign tax compliance and filings.

· Maintain tax calendars, documentation, and workpapers to ensure timely and accurate filings.

· Support special tax projects and other tax-related initiatives as assigned.


· Cross-Functional Collaboration:

· Work closely with the Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to assess the tax implications of business transactions, expansions, and restructurings while ensuring alignment to Group Policy.

· Contribute to tax-related activities, including cash tax forecasting and budgeting, sales tax rate assessment, invoice processing, and other tax operations and process improvement initiatives.

· Maintain effective communication and collaboration with the Group Tax team.

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

· Technical Expertise:

· Strong knowledge of federal and state income tax compliance.

· Experience managing complex tax matters across multiple jurisdictions.

· Knowledge of indirect taxes, including sales and use tax, property tax, and business license compliance.


· Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

· Ability to analyze complex tax matters, identify potential risks or opportunities, and develop practical solutions.


· Communication and Collaboration:

· Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal teams, external advisors, and tax authorities.

· Ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-tax professionals.


· Adaptability:

· Ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment and adapt to changing tax regulations.

· Ability to remain resilient and flexible in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

· Ability to remain calm, professional, and organized while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Required:

· Bachelor’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or a related field

· 3+ years of corporate tax experience, preferably in a multinational corporation or public accounting firm

· Strong understanding of direct and indirect tax compliance


· Preferred:

· Master’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, or a related field

· Experience working in a global environment with exposure to cross-border tax issues

· Experience in an Engineering / Manufacturing business
