Position Description:
The ServiceNow SecOps Sr. Engineer (Security Operations) is responsible to lead the design, development, and implementation of security operations (SecOps) solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role is responsible for integrating security workflows, enhancing automation, and optimizing security response processes to ensure robust cybersecurity operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and implement ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps) solutions, including Security Incident Response (SIR), Vulnerability Response (VR), Security Posture Control (SPC), and Threat Intelligence Security Center (TISC).
Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow SecOps and third-party security tools such as SIEM, EDR, Threat Intelligence Platforms, as well as integrations with ServiceNow CMDB.
Enhance automation and orchestration workflows using ServiceNow Flow Designer and Security Orchestration Automation and Response (SOAR).
Collaborate with security, IT, and development teams to align ServiceNow SecOps with enterprise security strategies.
Perform ongoing assessments and optimization of security workflows and incident response processes.
Develop scripts and custom applications within ServiceNow to extend SecOps capabilities.
Provide technical guidance and best practices for ServiceNow SecOps implementation and improvements.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ServiceNow SecOps functionalities and integrations.
Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and ServiceNow SecOps enhancements.
Develop an understanding of the needs and requirements of SecOps solutions, including governance, risk, and compliance solutions.
Research and evaluate available SecOps technologies to meet customer requirements.
Establish trusted client relationships and advise clients on their business needs.
Assist in creating and conducting product demos to stakeholders for the purpose of client discovery and or product training efforts.
Assist Templar Shield clients with developing, implementing, and strengthening SecOps programs.
Assist in conducting SecOps stakeholder workshops to identify and address client security operations, governance, risk, and compliance (SecOps) program current, and future requirements.
Work with SecOps stakeholders to help them articulate their business requirements and how those requirements translate into features and functionality in the SecOps tool.
Participate in the installation, implementation, configuration, and support of SecOps system components.
Develop direct system testing and validation procedures and documentation.
Develop test plans to address specifications and requirements.
Train and mentor junior engineers and administrators on ServiceNow SecOps best practices.
Create a positive working environment by monitoring and managing workloads of the team balancing client expectations with the work-life quality of team members.
Participate in development of training curriculum and course content.
Enhance established Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and or Agile method for design and development various security operations solutions on the SecOps platform to ensure all efforts are coordinated and controlled.
Solicit and manage to completion feedback from requestors on quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of SecOps system against business and functional requirements.
Support internal sales and client account teams in identifying SecOps opportunities.
Support in the creation of proposals, effort, and cost estimates and submit responses to Request for Proposals (RFP's).
Work closely with dispersed resources throughout multiple cities and countries.
Assist in sales pursuits and proposals and assist growing Templar Shield practice areas.
Requirements
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, with at least 3 years focused on SecOps.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow SecOps modules, including SIR, VR, SPC, TISC and SOAR.
Experience with how vulnerability management, security operations and threat intelligence programs are implemented, their pain points and best practices for managing them.
Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API) and workflow automation.
Experience integrating ServiceNow with security tools such as Splunk, CrowdStrike, Qualys, Tenable, and others.
Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards
