About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Shopify Web Developer to help migrate an established artisan e-commerce website from Squarespace to Shopify (or recommend a better platform if appropriate). This is a project-based engagement with a fixed-price scope.
This project supports a mission-driven artisan business that values storytelling as much as commerce. We're looking for someone who can combine strong Shopify technical expertise with an eye for clean, narrative-focused user experiences.
Candidates from any location are welcome to apply, including Gaza, provided they have reliable internet access, excellent Shopify experience, and strong English communication skills.
Website Migration
- Migrate the existing Squarespace website to Shopify.
- Ensure URLs, products, collections, pages, and essential content are transferred accurately.
- Recommend alternative platforms if they better fit the project requirements.
- Import approximately 125 products, including:
- Physical products
- Digital products
- Subscription-based offerings
- Physical products
- Clean and organize product data where necessary.
- Configure collections, variants, tags, and product organization.
- Redesign the website with a story-first approach rather than a purely transactional storefront.
- Create an experience inspired by narrative-driven artisan brands (similar in feel to Spindle by Sisters).
- Build responsive layouts that highlight craftsmanship, mission, and storytelling.
- Customize Shopify themes using:
- Shopify Liquid
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript (where needed)

- Ensure fast loading performance and mobile responsiveness.
