Job Description

Our remote DoD SkillBridge Internship – Social Media Coordinator provide real-world job experience, training, and skills development. We purposefully designed our program to give interns a head start on transitioning from military service to civilian employment while still enjoying the safety net of full pay and benefits from the military.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Social Media Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a social media enthusiast who enjoys creating engaging content, increasing brand awareness, and driving engagement on our social media platforms. You will be responsible for managing our social media accounts, creating and publishing content, and tracking performance metrics to help optimize our social media strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Create and publish engaging content across all social media platforms, including Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to customer inquiries and comments in a timely manner, and escalate issues to the appropriate team members as needed
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media efforts with overall marketing goals and initiatives
  • Track and analyze social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of our social media efforts and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
Program Duration

8-24 weeks 



Requirements

We hire for character and train for skill at BufferSprings. If you can show us you have a knack for writing and can pick up new skills quickly, we can train the rest. Here are the skills we’re looking for in this role.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices for content creation and engagement
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to craft engaging and compelling social media copy
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Basic knowledge of  social media analytics and ability to track and analyze performance metrics to inform decision-making
Eligibility

Open to all qualified transitioning active-duty U.S. service members, both officer and enlisted, of any rank and branch. 

Must have 180 days of active duty service remaining before the date of separation and have obtained approval or be in the approval process from the unit/command. 

Note: As published in Department of Defense Instruction 1322.29 and as outlined in the U.S. Department of Labor’s Fact Sheet #71 of January 2018, Servicemembers participating in a SkillBridge program are participating in a capstone training experience at the end of the military career and are NOT eligible for wages or other benefits from industry partners since the program is supported by the Department of Defense which will continue to cover the salaries and benefits of the participating members.

Program Location:

Most opportunities are remote/WFH and may also involve on-site work with your employer host in a location aligned with your needs.
