We’re looking for an SLED/Public Healthcare Account Executive to help develop and grow a defined territory. This is an active, hands‑on sales role where you’ll focus on prospecting, building pipeline, and closing opportunities, while also supporting the expansion of existing accounts. You’ll work in a fast‑moving space within enterprise technology— data security and AI‑powered resilience—gaining exposure to complex customer needs and high‑impact solutions. This role will have a strong focus on SLED/Public Sector customers, requiring an understanding of government procurement processes, compliance frameworks, and mission‑critical data security needs.

How you’ll spend your time here:

  • Execute a territory plan focused on net‑new logo acquisition and account growth across a defined set of SLED/Public Sector accounts

  • Build, manage, and progress a qualified sales pipeline, including opportunities you source directly and those supported through channel partners

  • Work within complex customer organizations, including state, local, and education entities, by identifying key stakeholders, building relationships, and engaging with senior decision‑makers

  • Support and lead customer engagements through discovery, evaluation, proposal development, and solution alignment, with guidance from Sales Engineers and leadership

  • Develop and deliver clear, value‑based proposals that connect Cohesity’s platform to customer security, resilience, compliance, and operational needs

  • Navigate public sector procurement cycles, including RFP/RFI responses, contract vehicles, and purchasing frameworks

  • Collaborate closely with channel partners and technology alliances (including NVIDIA, IBM, HPE, and AWS) to support deal execution and expand market reach
Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and forecasting, and contribute to consistent quarterly performance

  • Share customer insights and competitive feedback with the wider sales and product teams to support continuous improvement

We’d love to talk to you if you have many of the following:

  • Demonstrated experience selling into and partnering with Information Security / Cybersecurity teams, with a strong understanding of enterprise security frameworks, compliance standards, and the ability to align solutions to customer security and risk requirements

  • Experience selling into SLED/Public Sector accounts, with knowledge of government procurement processes, contract vehicles, and funding cycles

  • Familiarity with public sector compliance and security frameworks (such as FedRAMP, StateRAMP, CJIS, NIST, or similar)

  • A customer‑focused mindset and strong interest in cybersecurity and data protection, especially ransomware and recovery

  • Proven experience selling enterprise technology solutions, ideally within infrastructure, SaaS, or adjacent markets

  • Evidence of success contributing to net‑new customer acquisition and growing existing accounts

  • Foundational understanding of data security and backup technologies, with a willingness to deepen technical knowledge

  • Familiarity with Cohesity solutions (DataProtect, DataHawk, SmartFiles) is a plus

  • Exposure to platforms such as NetBackup, Backup Exec, or InfoScale is helpful but not required

  • Comfort working with channel partners, including public sector resellers and system integrators, with an interest in developing co‑selling skills

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to customers and internal stakeholders

  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve productivity, organization, and sales effectiveness

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • Professional English language proficiency for customer and internal communication

  • Willingness to travel as required
