We are seeking a Social Brand & Community Growth Strategist (Freelance, Remote) to define and execute a high-level strategy for building an engaged, authentic audience. This role is focused on brand-building, content strategy, multi-platform engagement, and community growth. Paid media is a component, but the primary focus is on establishing the social identity, recurring content formats, and meaningful audience relationships.
ABOUT THE CLIENT:
An established Los Angeles-based filmmaker with a creator following and founder of SUPERCINEMA, a next-generation independent film studio launching in 2027. The studio is focused on building a robust social presence and community of cinephiles across Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms ahead of the studio launch.
Responsibilities- Develop a social brand identity and content strategy aligned with SUPERCINEMA’s vision.
- Build and implement audience growth strategies across Instagram, TikTok, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and other relevant platforms.
- Advise on Reels, TikTok Shorts, and short-form video content to engage and retain audiences.
- Create repeatable content frameworks and guide editorial calendars.
- Lead community-building initiatives, including engagement tactics and creator/fan partnerships.
- Provide high-level paid media recommendations to amplify proven content.
- Track performance metrics and provide strategic guidance to optimize audience engagement and growth.
- Collaborate with the filmmaker and internal stakeholders to align social and community strategy with broader brand objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in audience growth, social media strategy, and entertainment content.
- Expertise with Instagram, TikTok, Meta Ads, YouTube, and other relevant social platforms.
- Experience in community-building, creator partnerships, and brand storytelling.
- Strong understanding of short-form video content, engagement metrics, and social trends.
- Freelance / consulting experience preferred, able to provide strategic guidance independently.
- US-based or strong understanding of US film and entertainment audiences preferred.
