Day Translations is hiring a remote Social Media Designer to create clear, distinctive visual content for our global language-services brand. This is an ongoing contractor opportunity for a designer who can turn strong ideas into effective social posts.

You will work with our Social Media Manager, who owns the content calendar, research, copy, publishing and community engagement. Your focus is designing the visual assets and delivering files that are ready to publish.

WHAT YOU WILL CREATE
• Branded social graphics, multi-slide carousels, infographics, quote cards, campaign visuals, thumbnails and covers.
• Platform-specific versions for channels such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, Pinterest and YouTube.
• Reusable templates that keep our visual identity consistent while allowing fresh, original ideas.
• Simple motion graphics or short-form video assets if those are among your skills. Motion and video editing are helpful extras, not prerequisites for this design role.

HOW WE WILL WORK
• The manager supplies a clear brief, approved copy, audience, objective and deadline. You propose a visual direction and flag any missing information.
• Create professional, human-made designs that communicate translation, interpreting, localization, language and culture clearly. Use original work and properly licensed assets; avoid generic AI-generated final artwork.
• Apply our brand guidelines consistently, including typography, color, spacing and visual hierarchy. Keep text readable on mobile and check contrast, spelling, alignment, safe areas and export quality.
• Deliver publish-ready exports in the agreed dimensions, plus organized editable source files and any necessary asset or font information.
• Incorporate agreed feedback, track versions and meet the publishing calendar’s deadlines.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• A portfolio showing strong social-media design, typography, layout and visual storytelling. B2B or professional-services work is especially useful.
• Confidence in your preferred professional design tools, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma or Canva. You do not need to use every tool; the quality of your work and editable handoff matter most.
• Ability to turn business concepts into approachable visuals, follow a brief, explain design decisions and collaborate reliably in English.
• Individual applicants who will personally create the work. Tell us your availability, time zone and usual turnaround times.

HOW SUCCESS WILL BE MEASURED
On-time delivery of the agreed assets; accurate approved copy; consistent brand styling; readable, correctly sized exports; organized editable source files; and completed agreed revisions. The manager handles posting and performance reporting, with your support in testing better creative ideas.

HOW TO APPLY
Submit your résumé and portfolio, including three examples you personally designed. Explain your contribution and include a carousel or multi-slide post if available. Share the tools you use, whether you also offer motion or video editing, your monthly compensation expectation in USD, weekly availability and start date.

Complete the application questions and the required 60-second Loom video in English. Briefly show one portfolio item, explain why you made the main design choices, and describe how you take ownership of your work and the company’s success. You may add an optional second section in another language. Make sure the link can be viewed without requesting access.

We are separately hiring a Social Media Manager. This application is for the person who designs the posts.
