As a Cloud Software Engineer III - Terraform / Golang / AWS at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Bank, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for devising critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops reusable Terraform templates and modules that abstract AWS complexity, allowing teams to provision infrastructure across all AWS components without requiring deep service-specific expertise
  • Designs and implements infrastructure-as-code solutions that ensure consistency, security, and compliance across multiple AWS accounts and environments
  • Troubleshoots complex infrastructure deployment issues and optimize existing Terraform configurations for performance and reliability
  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or breakdown technical problems
  • Implements scalable cloud native software solutions using modern technology stacks to deliver highly available, performant, and resilient products
  • Creates automation workflows that validate and deploy Terraform templates through CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborates with application teams to understand their infrastructure needs and translate them into standardized Terraform modules

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, infrastructure as code tooling (Terraform and such), testing, and operational stability
  • Experience with AWS / Cloud Provider services 
  • Experience working in a Cloud Native environment
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software design principles and patterns as wells as experience implementing solutions using various software architectures such as modular monoliths and micro-services
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and communication skills

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Golang, Terraform and AWS
