Belvedere Trading is looking for a Position Management Team Lead who can blend together leadership and management skills with software development expertise and knowledge of an options market making risk systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 7+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years leading a software development team or project. You will get to lead a team to work and collaborate with Belvedere quants to apply engineering solutions, and tackle challenges in programming, technology, mathematics and finance. Your initial responsibilities will include guiding the architecture and design of the team’s systems, ensure the production system has high quality and stability, guide the career path of the developers on the team, and do some hands-on development to push projects forward.
What You'll Do
- Work and collaborate with Belvedere’s risk team and traders to implement position management tools and solutions
- Design extensible trading application
- Ensure quality of changes going out to production systems
- Maintain, support and troubleshoot critical trading application
- Apply industry knowledge and technical skills in new and innovative ways
- Encourage the use of best practices throughout the development process
- Mentor and guide the development and career path of developers on the team
- Conduct performance reviews on a regular cadence
What You'll Need
- 7+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of experience leading a software development team or project
- Understanding of basic options market making theory
- Comfortable in multiple programming languages, including C++, C#, and Python
- Applies and holds high-quality standard for code and design
- Well versed in all areas of delivering technical solutions
- Ability to take full ownership (design, implement, test, deploy, maintain, iterate) of projects
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Able to develop and empower other developers to optimize output and reach their full potential
