Overview:

Design, Develop and maintain simple to complex software components effectively through utilization of technical skills to deliver high quality software, documentation, and training that satisfy customer requirements.

What you will do:

  • You will develop software using Precisely’s software development processes and tools leading to the highest standard of software quality
  • You will participate in design and code reviews within a team environment to eliminate errors early in the development process
  • You will estimate small to moderate programming jobs
  • You will take proactive actions to prevent customer issues.
  • You will participate in technical presentations to colleagues, customers and partners
  • You will participate in problem determination and debugging of software product issues by using technical skills and tools to isolate the cause of the problem in an efficient and timely manner
  • You will document and present software functionality and designs for peer review and exposition
  • You will ensure timelines and deliverables are met
  • You will provide status during daily standup meetings to the scrum team

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2 to 8 years of relevant experience
  • You have experience with the following programming languages: C, CL and SQL
  • You have the ability to analyze simple to moderate programming problems and create algorithms and programming solutions.
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Requirements:  

  • Working knowledge of IBM system i
  • Knowledge of High Availability concepts and Precisely IBM i High Availability products
  • IBM i programming experience
  • IBM DB2 knowledge
  • Java and CL knowledge a plus
  • Ability to effectively program for IBM i performance critical applications

This position is 100% remote anywhere in the US
