Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) seeks to fill multiple Manager Level 2 Software and Digital Technologies (SWDT) positions for front-line managers in our Mission Systems Survivability (MSS) and RF Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS) product line in our Rolling Meadows, IL location. The selected candidate will report to the MSS or EWS Department Manager of SWDT supporting the Rolling Meadows, IL site. Minimal travel is expected.

The successful manager will:

  • Be responsible for driving strong technical, cost, and scheduling performance in support of division contracts.
  • Be responsible for staffing projections and execute staffing plans in accordance with staffing projections.
  • Be responsible for regular communication with direct employees, including increasing inclusion and engagement, mentoring and career development, employee training, and performance management.
  • Be accountable for recruiting talent, to include candidates for entry-level positions as well as experienced candidates for mid and senior-level positions.
  • Be responsible for reviewing organizational metrics with applicable program and organizational leadership.

This position will be full-time and on-site at our Rolling Meadows, IL. location

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) related discipline with a minimum of 8 years related Software Engineering experience or MS degree with 6+ years related Software Engineering experience. 
  • Experience and depth of understanding in software engineering principles, and the full engineering lifecycle, including Agile for embedded software engineering.
  • High proficiency in technical problem solving, to include decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Experience leading small-to-medium technical teams in successful delivery of technical solutions, engineering artifacts, and operational software.
  • US citizenship
  • Must be able to obtain full secret clearance prior to starting. 
     

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) related discipline with 5 years’ experience in an agile environment
  • Applied knowledge of Product Line Management.
  • Ability to connect the company’s capabilities to existing and potential customers to support business development.

 

Primary Level Salary Range: $153,800.00 - $230,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
