About your new role:

We’re hiring a Software Engineering Tech Lead to help us rapidly build, launch, and scale AI-powered products that customers actually use in their day-to-day workflows. This is a player/coach role for someone who still loves writing production code but has the experience to lead a small team through fast, iterative product cycles.

You’ll work at the intersection of engineering, product, and AI, turning ideas into usable features quickly, getting them into customers’ hands, and improving them based on real-world usage. We value innovation and experimentation, but are always grounded in delivering practical, reliable products that create real customer value.

We’re looking for an AI-forward technical leader, someone who understands how to thoughtfully apply modern AI capabilities to real product problems, and how to lead teams in building, shipping, and iterating on AI-enabled features in production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small, high-velocity engineering team while staying hands-on with production code.
  • Design, build, and launch AI-powered product features quickly and iterate based on customer usage.
  • Partner closely with Product, Design, and GTM to deliver features that solve real customer problems.
  • Translate AI capabilities into intuitive, production-ready experiences.
  • Make fast, pragmatic technical decisions that keep momentum high.
  • Balance speed with reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Establish lightweight engineering practices that support frequent releases.
  • Mentor and coach engineers through code reviews, pairing, and design discussions.
  • Takes on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to support the success of the team and organization.

What you'll need for success:

  • Several years of professional software engineering experience with 2+ years in a tech lead or team leadership role.
  • Actively contributing to and owning production code.
  • Hands-on experience leading teams while building and shipping AI-enabled product features, especially with modern LLM-based systems.
  • Strong product intuition, you think in terms of users, workflows, and outcomes.
  • Proven hands-on ownership of the full development lifecycle and production systems, with a track record of shipping customer-facing features under aggressive, business-driven timelines.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and moving forward without perfect answers.
  • Ability to connect technical choices to customer impact and business priorities.
