The Software Support Engineer would be a part of the TRUMPF software group that focuses on Industry 4.0 software solutions for the next generation smart factory. The team is responsible to detail, implement and fully support TRUMPF supported CAD CAM MES programming software solutions for customers. Around 30% Travel to customer site in USA, Mexico, and Canada.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support customers in Metamation and TRUMPF FLUX sheet metal programming software.
  • Implement & update software solutions at customer sites and provide customer training
  • Assess process value chain and adapt TRUMPF / Metamation software to customer needs.
  • Support customers with questions and troubleshooting over phone, web & email.
  • Provide software support for in house production at TRUMPF smart factory
  • Serve as key contact & manage customer projects
  • Travel for projects in USA, Canada and Mexico.

Experience

Experience with CAD/CAM programming software for machine tools. Experience in TRUMPF & Metamation software products. Thorough experience in Project Management. Excellent communication skills, as well as telephone etiquette. Ability to communicate patiently and diplomatically is mandatory. Must have a professional customer service attitude. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
