The Role

We’re looking for a driven Solutions Engineer to join our growing go-to-market team. You’ll own the technical win and help customers unlock value quickly with Matia. This is a chance to build category-defining software from the ground up.

What You'll Do
  • Be Technical Sales Point of Contact: Lead technical demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and workshops to showcase features, functionalities, and benefits of the company’s offerings. Tailor demonstrations and execute workshops to address specific client challenges.

  • Craft content & develop technical diagrams to show customers how to leverage Matia for specific use cases.

  • Drive Customer Success: Enable onboarding for customers onto Matia platform, helping with technical integrations and data connections and provide support as needed. Be a technical partner with the customer to provide the best experience using Matia.

  • Bridge Product & Market: Partner with marketing to create demos, documentation, and provide other thought leadership opportunities around the Matia platform with the data engineering community.

  • Partner with the product team to influence product roadmap and drive the Matia platform based on customer interactions.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a results-oriented, technical-minded SE with a proven track record of generating pipeline and closing deals, especially within the data ecosystem.

Must-Haves:
  • Prior Experience in the Data Space: 4+ years of experience in SaaS, with at least 2 in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer or Solutions Architect.

  • Early stage startup experience: You thrive in early-stage startup environments (Seed – Series A), comfortable with ambiguity and change.

  • Deep understanding of SQL, analytics, and Python.

  • Broad range of experience within large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology, ETL, analytics, data science, AI/ML, and/or cloud technologies.

  • Sharp presentation and public speaking skills.

  • Experience and interest in leveraging AI tools to create efficiency in the sales process & connect deeper with customers.

  • Ownership Mentality: Highly accountable and self-driven, requiring minimal supervision to hit and exceed sales targets.

  • Strong Communicator: Ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and value propositions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Collaborative: A team player who enjoys working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in a data consultancy and/or as a data engineer.
