Role Summary
As a Special Assets Group Portfolio Manager SVP, you'll help clients and the bank successfully manage complex commercial credit relationships through thoughtful underwriting, portfolio management, and risk analysis. You'll work closely with Relationship Managers, Special Asset Officers, and business partners to develop effective credit solutions while protecting portfolio quality. This role offers opportunities to deepen your commercial banking expertise and contribute to high-impact client outcomes.Key Accountabilities
  • Manage a portfolio of complex Special Asset relationships while maintaining strong credit quality and regulatory compliance.

  • Analyze financial statements, cash flow, and collateral to evaluate new credit requests, renewals, and loan modifications.

  • Partner with Relationship Managers and Special Asset Officers to develop credit strategies and deliver exceptional client service.

  • Monitor portfolio performance, repayment trends, and financial reporting to proactively identify and mitigate risk.

  • Coordinate the loan renewal process and collaborate with internal partners to deliver timely credit decisions.

  • Identify opportunities to introduce clients to additional banking solutions, including Treasury Management, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, and other specialized services.

  • Support due diligence activities for newly transferred relationships and present complex credit recommendations through the loan approval process.

Education & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 8+ years of commercial real estate, commercial banking, corporate banking, or commercial credit experience.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, if applicable.

Preferred

  • 4+ years of sales or business development experience.

  • Experience managing complex or distressed commercial credit relationships.

  • Experience presenting credit recommendations and collaborating with cross-functional banking teams.

$124,110.00 - $212,760.00 per year
