We grade, authenticate, vault, and sell millions of record-setting collectibles, all while modernizing and digitalizing the process to further our mission of helping collectors pursue their passions. We’re always on the lookout for talented people to join our growing team.

Our services span collectible trading cards, autographs, comic books, coins, video games, event tickets, and memorabilia. Our subsidiaries include PSA, PCGS, Beckett, SGC, and Card Ladder.

Since our founding in 1986, we have graded and authenticated millions of items. We employ more than 3000 people across our headquarters in Santa Ana, California and offices in New Jersey, Texas, Florida, Japan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Canada, Mexico, Germany, the UK, and France.

As part of our interview process, we request that candidates have their cameras on during video interviews. This helps foster meaningful conversation and allows us to create an experience that closely resembles our standard working environment. Certain interview steps may take place by phone. For remote roles, and at our discretion, candidates may be asked to participate in an on-site interview as part of the final stages of the process.

We understand there may be occasional circumstances requiring accommodation and are happy to discuss them as needed. Your recruiter will be able to clarify expectations and answer any questions you have.

We're looking for a Special Projects Lead to join Beckett Operations and help turn our highest-priority operational challenges and strategic ideas into action. This is an operator-first role, not a traditional project management position—you'll partner directly with the Director of Operations and other leaders to take on projects spanning production, process improvement, technology, customer experience, facilities, and new business opportunities. Some initiatives will begin with a clearly defined objective; others will start as a problem or idea that needs someone to figure out what comes next. As the function grows, you'll also help build the structure, processes, and eventually the team needed to execute special projects across Beckett.

You'll report to the Director of Operations and work onsite from our Plano, Texas office five days per week, with occasional travel based on business needs.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with operational leaders and frontline teams to identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, service, cost, productivity, and employee experience across the operation

  • Evaluate end-to-end workflows to identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and opportunities for standardization or automation, using data, direct observation, and frontline input

  • Translate operational challenges into clear recommendations and executable action plans, balancing strategic objectives with the realities of a live production environment

  • Take ownership of loosely defined problems or opportunities, independently determine the path forward, and lead initiatives from discovery through planning, implementation, measurement, and handoff

  • Develop clear objectives, milestones, timelines, risks, and measures of success for assigned initiatives, and coordinate work across Operations, Customer Service, Product, Technology, Finance, HR, and Facilities

  • Maintain accountability across multiple projects by tracking commitments, identifying risks early, and removing roadblocks to keep initiatives moving forward

  • Develop and implement new workflows, SOPs, and process documentation, applying Lean, Six Sigma, or root cause analysis methodologies when appropriate

  • Establish meaningful measures of success and evaluate whether implemented changes deliver the expected results

  • Translate operational needs into clear business requirements for Product, Software Development, and IT, serving as a bridge between operational and technical teams

  • Support system implementations and enhancements through requirements gathering, process design, testing, rollout, and post-launch evaluation

  • Build strong relationships across Beckett to understand challenges, influence and drive accountability without relying on direct reporting authority, and facilitate working sessions that result in clear decisions

  • Anticipate resistance to change, communicate complex issues clearly to frontline teams and senior leadership, and know when to escalate decisions or risks

  • Help establish the tools, processes, reporting, and operating rhythm for managing special projects across Beckett, and develop repeatable approaches for evaluating, prioritizing, and completing strategic initiatives

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of progressive operations experience, including leading teams, processes, or operational functions in a fast-paced production, manufacturing, fulfillment, logistics, warehouse, or service operations environment

  • Demonstrated experience leading operational improvement initiatives, implementations, or cross-functional projects in addition to day-to-day operational responsibilities

  • A self-starter who is comfortable receiving an objective or problem without step-by-step instructions, and who naturally looks for ways to improve how work gets done

  • Able to move between the floor and the leadership table—equally comfortable learning from frontline employees and presenting recommendations to senior leaders

  • Skilled at using operational metrics and data to identify problems and evaluate performance, while recognizing the value of direct observation and frontline input

  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple unrelated initiatives simultaneously without losing accountability or follow-through

  • Comfortable influencing people who do not report to you and holding stakeholders accountable to commitments

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Project Management, or Operational Excellence methodologies is preferred but not required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred; degrees in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Engineering are a plus

  • Excited by the opportunity to build—not just execute projects, but help create the structure and eventually the team that will support Special Projects at Beckett
