Job Overview
This position is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and creating comprehensive work products documenting user stories, including validation and traceability, for existing and new applications supporting Commissions business channels: Retail, Metro, TFB (T-Mobile for Business), Dealer and Customer Care. This position understands how organizations function to accomplish their purpose, and defines capabilities an organization requires to provide a service or meet their goals. This position facilitates communication between organizational units to align the needs of business units in order to create requirement work products for solution providers. This role plans, directs and completes the analysis of business problems to be solved or product/services to be developed for delivery. This role provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. This role assesses system impacts, provides gap and process analysis as well as cost/benefit analysis for system or product/service related initiatives

Job Responsibilities:

  • Fosters business knowledge and understanding among business systems analysts and project stakeholders. Brokers consensus among stakeholders with conflicting needs.
  • Elicits and evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, decomposes high-level information into details, abstracts up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requests
  • Facilitates requirement sessions with stakeholders and creates comprehensive work products documenting requirements, including validation and traceability of requests. Has understanding on how projects align to broader organizational goals and business benefit.
  • Provides SME leadership and consulting support on complex tasks. Initiate and execute initiatives to improve the processes, procedures, and tools utilized by the team. Reviews deliverables and provides input for other analysts. Strong understanding of all Commissions channels.
  • Creates and determines modeling approach to represent requirement information in graphical forms that augment textual representation
  • Develops a business analysis work-plan to manage own tasks, deliverables, schedule and provides information to stakeholders and Project Management. Facilitates business leadership and other company stakeholders in the definition of business roadmaps

Education and Work Experience (Required)

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience (Required)
  • Acceptable areas of study include Quantitative discipline (Required)
  • 4-7 years Systems analysis experience with understanding strategic business information systems. (Required)
  • Critical thinking skills with a view toward process evaluation/enhancement.
  • Advance knowledge of utilizing and writing SQL queries using output/results for executive level presentation (Required)

Overland Park, KS Compensation Range: $88,100 - $119,200

Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity: $93,035 - $167,900

National Base Pay Range: $80,900 - $146,000

The Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity represents the expected total cash compensation for this role at target performance, combining base salary and annual incentive opportunity. Actual earnings may be higher or lower depending on individual performance and overall company results. 

The base pay range reflects the compensation component of this opportunity. The candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on individual and/or company performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance. The incentive component included in the Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity reflects target performance. Actual earnings included in the Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity reflect target performance; actual payouts may vary.
