Overall Purpose

This role is responsible for the administration, support, optimization, and strategic evolution of the Planview platform and related portfolio, project, resource, and financial management processes at Early Warning. The position serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Planview and associated business processes, partnering with stakeholders across Technology, Finance, and PMO functions to ensure the platform effectively supports organizational planning, execution, governance, and reporting needs.

The role is responsible for application architecture, configuration, integrations, reporting, vendor management, user adoption, and continuous process improvement. The Senior Application Administrator will also provide support for additional assigned enterprise applications as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Act as owner, primary administrator, and subject matter expert for Planview and assigned application(s), including portfolio, project, resource, and demand/capacity management processes.
  • Provide application and system support for assigned application(s), including expert-level troubleshooting, root cause analysis, escalation to internal teams or vendors, and issue ownership through resolution.
  • Architect, configure, and optimize Planview solutions to meet business requirements while maintaining scalability, security, data integrity, and alignment with administration best practices.
  • Design, implement, and maintain integrations between Planview and enterprise platforms including Jira, Workday, financial systems, reporting tools, data warehouses, and other third-party applications.
  • Establish and maintain governance, standards, controls, policies, procedures, and documentation for application administration, configuration, security, data management, and user support.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, scorecards, and portfolio reporting standards to support executive decision-making and operational management.
  • Analyze business processes, application incidents, and customer needs to identify root causes, inefficiencies, automation opportunities, and process improvements; implement solutions using platform capabilities, APIs, and workflow tools.
  • Lead application enhancement and implementation projects including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, deployment, change requests, user documentation, training, and adoption support.
  • Manage application lifecycle activities including performance monitoring, capacity planning, upgrades, patches, roadmap planning, license utilization, budget forecasting, procurement requests, vendor renewals, and vendor relationships.
  • Provide timely and accurate status reporting, support audits and compliance activities, and uphold the company’s commitment to protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience administering enterprise SaaS applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Experience supporting vendor-provided enterprise applications.
  • Experience managing application upgrades, integrations, testing, and vendor relationships.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), project management, and portfolio management concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience administering Planview solutions
  • Experience with Planview APIs, integrations, and data exchange mechanisms.
  • Experience integrating Planview with Jira, Workday, ServiceNow, ERP, HRIS, or data warehouse platforms.
  • Experience configuring and supporting portfolio, project, demand, resource, and financial management capabilities.
  • Experience managing application security, permissions, roles, workflows, and governance controls.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • Understanding of project accounting, capital planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial governance concepts.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders, PMOs, Finance, and Technology organizations.

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.

The base pay scale for this position in:
Phoenix, AZ in USD per year is: $94,000 - $118,000.
Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.
