This position supports the development and execution of brand and experience strategies that advance, protect, and strengthen the BCBS Brand across the System and in partnership with Plans. Working primarily in Brand Strategy with a secondary contribution to Customer Experience, it translates research and consumer insights into strategic direction, develops brand and creative briefs, and synthesizes inputs into clear recommendations that inform brand decisions. It plays an active role in the System's brand and marketing leadership forums and contributes to customer experience programming where brand, marketing, and experience intersect.

  • Provides strategic brand and marketing direction to the customer experience program of work, including the CXLC, ensuring alignment where brand, marketing, and experience converge across both Association and Plan engagement.
  • Leads defined workstreams within the System brand strategy, in partnership with the Director of Brand Strategy, translating consumer insights and research into direction that activates the brand and delivers on the brand promise.
  • Synthesizes research, consumer insights, and Plan inputs into clear strategic recommendations that inform brand decisions and prepare initiatives for leadership review, using AI-enabled tools to sharpen and accelerate the analysis. Develops strong brand and creative briefs that translate insights into brand and creative direction for internal teams and agency partners.
  • Drives initiatives within the Brand Collaborative in partnership with Plans and cross-functional teams.
  • Develops content and strategic recommendations for the Marketing Executive Council and advisory group, driving follow-through that aligns brand and marketing priorities across the System.

The posting range for this position is:

104,195.33 - 140,908.37

Qualifications:
Education

  • Required BS or equivalent work experience

Experience

  • Required 5+ Years Experience in brand strategy or marketing

    Experience translating insights into strategy and innovation priorities for a brand. Experience conducting competitor reviews and analysis.
    Event coordination, logistics and execution experience for small to mid-size meetings, workshops or events. Experience or understanding of customer relationship management tools (e.g. SalesForce, Hubspot, etc.)
