What is the role where you can make an impact?

Senior Capital Project Manager

 Capital Project Management

  • Lead end-to-end execution of major capital projects (typically USD $2–20M) from concept through commissioning and handover.
  • Develop and manage project charters, business cases, scope, budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Adherence to and development of Communication Standards
    • Tekni-Plex site operations
    • Compliance with governmental regulations, reviews, and enforcement
    • Sales and Commercial operations
    • Supply chain management
    • Tax/Finance/Accounting
    • Human Resources administration
    • Safety Policies
    • Contractor and vendor management
  • Ensure adherence to corporate engineering standards, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and safety requirements.
  • Oversee procurement processes for capital equipment, ensuring cost efficiency and technical compliance.
  • Technical specification creation for manufacturing equipment platforms & processes.

 Strategic Planning and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with operations, R&D, supply chain, and finance to prioritize and plan annual capital budgets.
  • Translate business needs into project objectives and technical solutions that drive productivity, capacity, and compliance.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management and governance committees on project status, financial performance, and risk exposure.

 Leadership and Team Development

  • Supervise and mentor direct reports, fostering skill development and accountability. Add in expectations of development of team members
  • Promote a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement in project execution.
  • Contribute to cross-functional training and development of engineering staff in project management best practices.
  • Outcome minded understanding the difference between effort vs. outcome.

Compliance and Governance

  • Ensure all capital projects comply with regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, environmental, and local authorities).
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure readiness for audits and inspections within the standard CPMO database.
  • Champion sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives in capital investments.

 Continuous Improvement

  • Lead post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve capital project methodologies.
  • Implement standardized tools and systems for project tracking, cost control, and performance measurement.

What skills do you bring to the role?

 Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline).
  • PMP certification or equivalent professional project management qualification preferred.

 Experience

  • 10–15 years of progressively responsible experience in capital project management within a manufacturing environment (consumer goods, healthcare, or pharmaceutical preferred).
  • Proven track record in delivering complex, multi-million-dollar projects in GMP or regulated industries.
  • Experience leading small teams and managing contractors and vendors.

 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong project management, budgeting, and cost control skills.
  • Autocad proficiency
  • Deep understanding of engineering design, construction, commissioning, and validation processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
  • Arc Flash/IR processes

 The compensation range for this position is $163,000 plus target bonus incentive.
