Responsibilities

About the role:

This role supports the development and optimization of General Motors Insurance operations by analyzing business needs, defining objectives, conducting gap and ROI analyses, and gathering requirements to drive effective solutions. The position also collaborates with stakeholders to improve claims processes and workflows, contribute to solution design, and proactively identify and manage business risks within a rapidly growing insurance organization.
 

In this role you will: 

  • Assist in benefit analysis and defining ROI.
  • Define business objectives and goals.
  • Identify and document stakeholders and organization impacts.
  • Perform gap analysis to determine potential solutions.
  • Assist with gathering business needs.
  • Aid in facilitation of gathering requirements.
  • Providing input to partners assisting with solution design.
  • Identify and manage existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
  • Create and edit claims workflows and processes.
Qualifications

What makes you an ideal candidate? 

  • Knowledge and understanding of the auto and casualty claims process preferred
  • Professional business analyst experience, including; planning, eliciting, analyzing, validating, documenting and communicating requirements
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • P&C industry experience a plus

Work Experience & Education  

  • 2+ years working in an agile environment preferred
  • 4+ years professional business analytics experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • IIBA certification preferred

Additional Knowledge and Skills

Working effectively within an AI enabled environment:  

  • Ability to use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work
  • Skills in evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias
  • Experience integrating AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights
  • Familiarity with AI assisted research, summarization, and content generation
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection

The base range for this role is: $96, 000 - $177,500

At GM Financial, we strive for transparency in all aspects of our business, including pay equity. This is the GM Financial pay range for this role and job level. The exact salary and compensation will vary based on factors like knowledge, skills, experience, and education.

This role is eligible to participate in a performance-based incentive plan. Full time employees are eligible to participate in health benefits on day one of employment.
