We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Cloud API Platform Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure installation and operational support, with expertise in IBM API Connect version 10, Kubernetes, AWS Cloud, and certificate management. This role requires excellent communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills. The Sr. Cloud API Platform Engineer will interact with teams across the enterprise and be part of an on-call rotation that sometimes requires evening or weekend support.
This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Hartford, CT, Chicago, IL, Charlotte, NC, or Columbus, OH) 3 days per week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain cloud and middleware infrastructure components.
- Manage and troubleshoot IBM API Connect version 10, Kubernetes, AWS Cloud, and certificate management.
- Provide operational support for cloud-based systems and applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud services.
- Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure and processes.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support during evenings and weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure installation and operational support.
- Proficiency in IBM API Connect version 10, Kubernetes, AWS Cloud, and certificate management.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with IBM DataPower, OpenShift, ROSA (Red Hat OpenShift on AWS), YAML scripting, TLS 1.2+, Splunk, and Dynatrace.

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$136,000 - $204,000
