Technical Services is central to this evolution—shifting from a traditional support function to a strategic, customer-centric, and commercially differentiated capability that enhances patient outcomes and drives business performance. 


Role Summary 

Reporting to the President, Americas, the Senior Director, Technical Services – Americas is responsible for leading and transforming the regional Technical Services organization across North America and Latin America. 


This leader will oversee a large-scale, geographically diverse organization (~450 employees), with responsibility spanning field service, seven depot operations, and technical service management. The role carries accountability for a meaningful revenue-generating business with annual revenue targets of approximately $150M USD and service performance outcomes that directly impact customer experience and commercial success. 


Beyond operational leadership, this role is critical to defining and executing the future of Technical Services in the Americas—evolving the function into a source of competitive advantage through service excellence, innovation, and strong commercial partnership. 


Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Leadership & Transformation 

- Define and lead the regional Technical Services strategy and value proposition, ensuring alignment with evolving market dynamics, customer needs, and Vantive’s commercial priorities. 

- Lead the transformation of Technical Services into a proactive, customer-centric and commercially driven function that contributes to growth, margin expansion, and differentiation. 

- Identify and scale innovative service models, including proactive, predictive, and digitally enabled capabilities. 


Operational Excellence & Performance 

- Plan, develop, direct, and continuously improve all aspects of field service and depot operations across the Americas. 

- Drive operational performance through disciplined management of key performance indicators (KPIs), including service levels, productivity, resource utilization, and customer segmentation. 

- Shift the organization from reactive to proactive service delivery, improving reliability, efficiency, and overall cost-to-serve. 

- Own and manage the regional operating budget, ensuring strong financial discipline while enabling growth and service quality. 
 

Partnerships & Collaboration 

- Serve as a senior representative of Technical Services to key customers and stakeholders, reinforcing the role of service as a competitive advantage. 

- Partner closely with regional General Managers and Commercial leaders to align service priorities with business strategy, enabling differentiated customer offerings and long-term value creation. 

- Support the development of commercially viable service offerings, balancing customer needs with profitability and scalability. 

- Build strong partnerships across Global Technical Services, Sales, Marketing, Procurement, and other key functions to drive integrated execution and continuous improvement. 

- Ensure alignment between regional execution and global strategy, standards, and innovation initiatives. 

 
People & Organizational Leadership 

- Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing, diverse team across the Americas, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 

- Drive leadership development, succession planning, and capability building to support current performance and future growth. 

- Promote and role model Vantive’s culture of trust, care, innovation, and ownership. 

 

Required Qualifications 

- 15 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, medtech, or life sciences, with significant exposure to technical service or field service environments. 

- Proven track record leading complex, large-scale service organizations across multiple geographies. 

- Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence, service profitability, and performance improvement. 

- Strong ability to translate customer needs into scalable service solutions and operational strategies. 

- Experience operating in a matrixed, international environment with diverse stakeholders. 

- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively at executive levels. 

- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. 

- Willingness to travel (~25–30%). 

- Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering or related technical field preferred). 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

- MBA or advanced degree. 

- Experience in a private equity-backed or transformation-stage organization. 

- Background in kidney care, dialysis, critical care, or organ support therapies.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Vantive, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $184,000 - $276,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
