This is a management role within Chamberlain Group's Access Control Business, you will be a key technical leader for the field sales engineering team. You will play a crucial role in understanding and addressing customer needs, providing technical expertise, and contributing to the success of our access control solutions in the market. This role involves collaboration with the sales team, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure the effective promotion and sale of Chamberlain Group's full line of Access Control products.

  • Create the framework and structure for a proactive, technical and support oriented field sales engineering team with a focus on product and technical expertise to support sales growth
  • Collaborate with internal leadership teams to create a cohesive program of success and to meet customer technical requirements
  • Define and implement KPIs for Field Sales Engineering team related to pre-sales technical requirements including: site walks, architectural drawing reviews, solution design and technical guidance.
  • Set and obtain an annual goal specific to this group focused on support and technical assistance for Chamberlain Group's access control product
  • Oversee and maintain the technical support pipeline, to ensuring all technical inquiries and reviews are being addressed timely
  • Utilize data and analytics to make data-driven decisions and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and execute ongoing training, coaching, and support to help field sales engineers improve their product knowledge and technical expertise
  • Conduct fact-finding on customer needs, opportunities and other information-gathering activities
  • Generate and present regular reports on team performance and key metrics to senior management
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group's reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
  • Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members
  • Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company's policies
  • Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communications
  • Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the CGI mission, vision and values.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a technical sales or field sales engineering leadership role.
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Strong understanding of access control systems, gate operators, and related technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing training programs.
  • Strong understanding of access control systems, gate operators, and related technologies.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Willingness to travel as needed, this role supports a national team
