The Financial Transactions team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to support both new and ongoing initiatives across the organization. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by combining strong transactional accounting expertise with project management and process improvement capabilities.

In this position, you will:

  • Lead and support key financial projects, driving initiatives from concept through execution
  • Serve as the owner of reporting processes, delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial data
  • Act as a subject matter expert and trusted partner, collaborating across Finance and enterprise teams
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including leveraging AI-enabled solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment, values continuous improvement, and is passionate about driving operational excellence while maintaining high standards of quality.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience supporting or partnering with Accounts Payable (AP) and/or Accounts Receivable (AR) functions
  • Familiarity with financial systems such as Workday, Facets, or similar platforms
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements or automation initiatives, including exposure to AI-enabled tools

 

Note:

  • This is a remote position, however, periodic in-person meetings may be required, so candidates within 50 miles of the Chattanooga office are preferred. 
  • Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing the distribution of tasks to junior staff as appropriate to their development and to the satisfaction of the needs of the organization.
  • Providing generic financial planning, investment, forecasting and/or budgeting and control functions for the organization.
  • Managing the organization's tax filing and governmental reporting activities.
  • Performing finance, investment and/or accounting functions for the organization, including record keeping and reporting.

Job Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Math or related field required

Experience

  • 5 years - Work experience in an accounting/financial position is required.
  • 1 year - Experience with automated financial systems and database retrieval

Skills\Certifications

  • Attention to detail, exceptional documentation abilities, and organizational skills
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills and ability to perform non-routine analytical tasks
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Capacity to solve problems and manage multiple assignments with critical deadlines
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff and management
  • Solid math skills and understanding of financial/accounting theory
