About Take Command

Take Command is a start-up on a mission to improve the healthcare system, starting with health insurance. Pragmatically speaking, we help employers reimburse employees for individual insurance instead of offering a traditional one-size-fits-all group plan. We believe this model can empower employees (when they have the right support) to be savvy healthcare consumers and have a transformative impact on the entire healthcare system.

Let’s be honest—health insurance is usually a confusing, frustrating, and even emotional experience for people. We want to fix that with a new model, great technology, and a superior user experience. We have made a great start, but we need your help to fully realize our long-term vision.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Manager of Benefits Consultant Enablement to own how brokerages learn, adopt, and successfully market and sell (Take Command) ICHRA.

This role sits within Marketing but operates at the center of growth, sales, and business development, turning education into pipeline and long-term benefits consultant advocacy. You will be positioned as the internal ICHRA SME - you'll train internal teams on ICHRA and provide market updates to ensure the internal team is up to date on all things ICHRA. You will be considered the Take Command ICHRA Professor.

You will design and deliver training programs (ICHRA 101 → advanced “2.0” sessions), help develop and own our ICHRA Readiness certification, and help move benefits consultants through our flywheel, from awareness to evangelist.

This is a high-impact, external-facing role for someone who loves presenting, building relationships, and becoming a true subject matter expert.

What You’ll Do

Own Benefits Consultant Training & Education

  • Develop and deliver scalable training programs:
  • ICHRA 101 (foundational education)
  • Product training and platform walkthroughs
  • Advanced “ICHRA 2.0” selling and strategy sessions
  • Host live and virtual sessions (webinars, workshops, in-person events)
  • Build a repeatable curriculum and content library benefits consultant can access on-demand

Lead ICHRA Readiness Certification

  • Own and evolve the ICHRA Readiness Certification Program
  • Define what “certified” means and ensure benefits consultants are equipped to sell confidently
  • Track certification progress and tie to benefits consultant performance and pipeline

Drive Benefits Consultant Funnel Management

  • Partner with Growth and Business Development to:
  • Move business consultants through the marketing funnel Learn → Design → Onboard → Active → Evangelist
  • Identify friction points in the benefits consultant journey and close gaps through enablement
  • Use training as a lever to increase activation, conversion, and retention

Partner Cross-Functionally With:

  • Sales (to support deals and enable benefits consultant success)
  • Business Development (to accelerate benefits consultant acquisition and engagement)
  • Marketing (to align messaging, campaigns, and content)
  • Support key initiatives like webinars, roadshows, and partner events

Be the Voice of the Benefits Consultant

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with benefits consultants
  • Bring feedback into product, marketing, and GTM strategy
  • Act as a visible, credible ICHRA expert in the market

What You Bring

  • 5–10+ years in benefits consultant (broker) relations, enablement, training, or benefits consulting
  • Strong understanding of ICHRA, group benefits, or health insurance landscape
  • Exceptional presentation skills—you’re comfortable leading a room (virtual or in-person)
  • Ability to simplify complex topics into clear, compelling narratives
  • Proven relationship builder who can earn trust quickly
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and partnerships
  • Builder mindset—you don’t just run programs, you create and evolve them

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience training or enabling benefits consultants
  • Background in ICHRA, HRA, or alternative benefits models
  • Track record of tying enablement efforts to pipeline or revenue impact
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment

Why This Role Matters

This role is critical to scaling ICHRA adoption. Benefits consultants are our most important channel—and their success is our success.

You won’t just train benefits consultants—you’ll help shape how ICHRA is understood, sold, and adopted across the market.

Compensation: $140,000-$145,000 base salary + bonus

More About Us

We secured our Series B funding in 2023 and are thrilled to be able to expand our team. Despite being a small startup in a land of health insurance giants, we’re the recognized industry leader for what we do (health insurance reimbursements) and passionate about bringing it to market because we know we can help fix a broken system and improve our clients’ wellbeing and health outcomes. We’ve been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Dallas Morning News, and other national healthcare publications and are excited about our growth opportunities.

Take Command knows diversity and inclusion among our teammates is integral to our company’s success and growth. Our vision is to recruit, develop, and retain the best team from a diverse candidate pool. This has mostly been about us, but we’d love to hear from you--we can’t wait to hear your story!

*Take Command is an equal opportunity employer! We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
