Primary Purpose
As the Senior Manager, E-Commerce Insights and Business Planning, you will help drive e-commerce performance and enable our five grocery brands to predict and respond to our customers' evolving e-commerce needs across 19 states and 2000+ stores. You'll be part of the department that partners with our brands to set the strategy for e-commerce fulfillment, and a major player on the team that owns e-commerce fulfillment analytics and reporting, supports tactical and strategic planning, drives the three-year e-commerce market outlook, and delivers actionable insights to support significant business decisions for our five multi-billion dollar grocery brands.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Chicago, IL.

Duties and Responsibilities
You'll use your strategic mindset, data acumen, and bias towards action to develop and deliver strategic insights that drive decisions and enable growth. You'll partner across teams and functions to develop recommendations to optimize capacity, calibrate the fulfillment network, maximize sales capture, and manage costs. Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary based on our projects and business needs, but will include the following:
  • Enabling the e-commerce insights and business planning team to answer juicy and ambiguous business questions such as, "What does the e-commerce market look like in 2030?" and "How are we positioned to respond to major competitor decisions?" and "What's the capital investment needed to reach our e-commerce growth targets over the next three years?"
  • Generating actionable insights, strategic inputs, and strategic frameworks to address brand, leadership, and cross-functional questions and support strategic decision-making
  • Collaborating with brand partners, executive leadership, and cross-functional teams to translate high-level direction, strategic questions, and overall strategy to a modeling and analysis approach
  • Analyzing company data, external data, and strategic modeling outputs to identify trends, gaps, and anomalies, produce data-driven insights, and deliver executive recommendations
  • Presenting strategic recommendations, modeling outputs, and analysis results to executive leadership and brand partners to gain buy-in and develop long-term and near-term plans
  • Driving continuous improvement and supporting the future of our team by standing up internal initiatives, fostering the development of other team members, budgeting and estimating effort, defining processes and solution enhancements, and developing internal artifacts and templates

Qualifications
  • Work Experience (5+ years) in consulting, strategy, analytics, and/or supply chain optimization.
  • Degree or Equivalent Experience in Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, or similar field
  • Core Competencies in analyzing data, developing strategic narratives, managing projects, presenting to leadership, building relationships, and articulating complex concepts to executives and cross-functional teams
  • Presentation Skills with demonstrated success in bringing data and modeling insights to life and generating stakeholder buy-in through storytelling, strategic framework development, and advanced analysis
  • Relationship Skills, with the ability to forge trust and maintain ongoing communication with brand partners and cross-functional colleagues
  • Analytical Skills with the ability to work with large data sets, structure analyses, dig into data at different levels of detail (micro and macro level), and identify trends, gaps, and anomalies with strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and PowerBI (or equivalent)
  • Background in consulting, retail (e-commerce ideal!) or CPG supply chain, analytics, or strategy, ideally with exposure to operations research, strategic planning, and/or tactical planning

  • A strong communicator (both oral and written) who can influence without authority
  • Passionate about process improvement, documentation, and standardization

IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $125,200 - $187,800
Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
