Job Summary:

The BNPL Product Sales Specialist is an important part of the PYPL sales org, whose overall goal is to grow and strengthen PayPal merchant partnerships, drive increased revenue for PayPal, and support overall adoption of PayPal’s revenue and payments solutions across Americas.
The specific focus of BNPL Sales Specialist is the value-driven sale of our suite of BNPL, Pay Later and PayPal Credit solutions, with emphasis on solution selling. This role will function as a hunter focused on merchants who do not have PayPal on their e-comm checkout today.
The Product Sales Specialist Lead will be expected to have a deep understanding of their specific portfolio of named merchant verticals, existing accounts and prospects to drive desired outcomes for PayPal. The Product Sales Specialist will also own engagement with the Product, supporting prioritization of new feature functionality, partnering on strategy formation and being a deep thought partner on ways to win.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex projects of diverse scope requiring an understanding of current business trends.
  • Participate in complex problem resolution and determine methods for new assignments.
  • Implement initiatives that result in global process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product sales strategies.
  • Provide expertise in product knowledge and market insights to enhance sales efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:

·       5+ years of experience solution selling to senior executives at Fortune 1000 companies.

·       Deep experience working with customer C-level executives and decision makers in the following functional areas:

- Product

- Sales

- Marketing

- Finance

·       Ideal candidate comes with contacts across C-level BNPL merchant targets

·       Deep expertise in consumer value mapping and their application to customer needs within BNPL

·       Deep expertise in funnel conversion design and optimization (ideally within Fintech, Direct to Consumer, Social, or scaled B2B2C digital platform)

·       Skilled storyteller with proven experience communicating and selling from a values-based platform

·       Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with an emphasis on translating insights, product information and data into client value.

·       Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve win-win outcomes

·       Proven consultative sales abilities and the ability to work well in a matrixed environment, collaborate across multiple departments and influence all levels within an organization.

·       Strong analytical skills with ability to develop value-driven narratives and ROI-based proposals.

·       Strong industry knowledge of payments including eCommerce and Omni acceptance solutions

·       A consistent track record of exceeding quota targets.

·       Familiarity with Salesforce CRM is a plus.

·       Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

  • Location Requirement: Candidates must reside within a two-hour commute of one of the following PayPal office locations: New York, NY; San Jose, CA; Scottsdale, AZ; Austin, TX; Chicago, IL; or Omaha, NE.

The pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay, including base pay and total target cash (base pay plus sales incentive compensation), for this role by location is:

Primary Location | Pay Range:

San Jose, California: Base Pay: ($152,400.00 - $226,380.00 Annually) Total Target Cash: ($254,000.00 - $377,300.00 Annually)
