We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Summary:

PayPal, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager to join its Global Regulatory Relations team. The Senior Manager will provide seasoned leadership and judgment in enabling PayPal to cultivate positive regulatory relationships and consequently, enabling PayPal’s business objectives. This job leads complex projects addressing regulatory challenges, collaborates with teams to resolve issues, analyzes business trends for regulatory strategies, develops processes for compliance, and mentors junior team members.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex projects that address regulatory challenges and improve compliance processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve regulatory issues and implement best practices.
  • Analyze current business trends to inform regulatory strategies and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement processes that enhance the organizations regulatory compliance efforts.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in regulatory relations best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects with competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to change.

  • Solid critical and analytical thinking, decision making, and innovative problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal/written (and PowerPoint) communication skills, including a proven track record of effective communication with regulatory agencies.

  • Proven ability to interact well with internal leaders and external contacts, including regulators.

  • Ability to credibly challenge solutions and ensure timely escalation of issues and concerns.

  • Ability to think strategically while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to work independently and within a team environment.

  • Compliance experience in the financial services industry, with financial services licensing and reporting experience, and/or regulatory examination management experience preferred.

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:

San Jose, California | ($143,500.00 - $212,850.00 Annually) Chicago, Illinois | ($130,500.00 - $193,600.00 Annually) Austin, Texas | ($130,500.00 - $193,600.00 Annually) Scottsdale, Arizona | ($123,500.00 - $183,700.00 Annually) Omaha, Nebraska | ($123,500.00 - $183,700.00 Annually)

Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
