Position

This is an individual contributor role responsible for Opengear’s day-to-day content and social media program — blog, whitepapers, email, video, and social content, plus supporting sales enablement assets. The Content Marketing Manager generates and prioritizes content ideas, manages the process of getting that content created, and owns the content and social calendar independently, working closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts across the business to source and develop content.

This position will be located in Sandy, UT (hybrid)

What We Offer

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Content Marketing Manager to shape how Opengear shows up in the world, from the stories we tell to the conversations we spark online. Own the full content lifecycle, share stories that resonate with IT and network engineering audiences, and see your work reach customers across every channel. Join us and help tell Opengear’s story.

What You Will Do

Content Strategy & Ideation

  • Develop ideas for the types of content Opengear should create to support brand awareness, thought leadership, and demand generation goals.
  • Build and maintain an editorial and social calendar spanning blog, email, web, video, and social content.
  • Identify content gaps and opportunities based on performance data, sales feedback, and market and competitor trends.
  • Align content plans with product launches, campaigns, and broader marketing priorities.

Content Development & Execution

  • Write, edit, and produce high-quality content across formats, including blog posts, articles, website copy, email campaigns, whitepapers, and sales collateral.
  • Manage the end-to-end production process for content requiring outside support by briefing and coordinating designers, videographers, and freelance contributors.
  • Interview subject matter experts to translate technical concepts into clear, engaging content.
  • Ensure all content is consistent with Opengear’s brand voice, style, and messaging pillars.

Social Media Management

  • Own Opengear’s social media presence end-to-end: content calendar, scheduling, publishing, and community engagement.
  • Develop platform-specific content, organic and paid where relevant, that reflects brand voice and supports campaign and product priorities.
  • Monitor social performance and trends; adjust strategy based on engagement data.
  • Repurpose long-form content into social-ready assets to maximize reach.

Performance & Optimization

  • Track and report on content and social performance (traffic, engagement, conversions) using analytics tools.
  • Use performance data to refine content topics, formats, and distribution channels.
  • Run periodic content audits to identify opportunities to refresh or repurpose high-value assets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts across Product Marketing, Sales, and other teams to identify content needs and ensure content supports go-to-market priorities.
  • Support partner-facing content requests as needed, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Collaborate with design and creative resources to produce polished visual and multimedia assets.

Who You Are and What You Bring

  • 5-7 years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, or a related field, with a demonstrated content development background.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate technical or complex topics into clear, engaging content.
  • Experience managing an editorial or social content calendar.
  • Experience managing social media accounts for a brand, including content planning and performance tracking.
  • Strong project management skills; comfortable managing designers, videographers, and outside contributors.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple content workstreams simultaneously.

Desired But Not Required

  • Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Experience in B2B technology or network infrastructure marketing.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and analytics tools (e.g., Pardot, GA4).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
