About the Role

Uber Freight is scaling rapidly, and we need a proven marketing leader to own and elevate our experiential brand. This isn't just about booking booths, it’s about crafting premium, flawless experiences that delight our customers while turning industry forums and hosted events into measurable impact. As the owner of this function, you’ll blend strategy with hands-on execution. If you are a commercially minded marketer who thrives on taking full ownership, delivering high-touch customer activations, and connecting every event directly to account growth, this challenge is for you.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Own the Calendar: Build, evaluate, and manage Uber Freight’s annual industry events and hosted experiences calendar.
  • Tier & Invest: Collaborate cross-functionally to help build a decision framework that determines where, how, and at what level we show up—from tier-1 trade shows to intimate hosted customer events.
  • Elevate the Brand: Ensure our presence, content, and activations reflect market leadership and deliver an impactful, premium experience.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Manage every detail of execution, including vendor management, venue selection, booth strategy, onsite logistics, and run-of-show.
  • Flawless Delivery: Operate as the calm-under-pressure anchor onsite, anticipating issues and ensuring seamless execution every time.
  • Manage the Budget: Allocate and optimize event spend to maximize ROI across all programs.
  • Drive Business Outcomes: Partner closely with Sales to map events against target accounts, secure qualified meetings, and drive engagement across the entire buyer journey.
  • Measure Impact: Track and report on key event metrics and ROI to evaluate program success.
  • ICP Landscape & Thought Leadership: Deeply understand the in-person landscape for our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) knowing exactly where our audience gathers so we can secure key speaking placements and maximize client engagement.
  • Sales Alignment & Expectations: Establish, communicate, and enforce clear pre-, during-, and post-event expectations with Sales, while building tight feedback loops to refine future strategy.
  • Campaign Orchestration: Collaborate with Product Marketing, Brand & Creative, Communications, and broader cross-functional stakeholders to align messaging and amplify integrated campaigns.
  • Internal Visibility: Maintain and manage a central internal event database to ensure full visibility into our event presence and strategy across the entire organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of B2B field marketing and enterprise event operations experience.
  • Experience hosting events.
  • Travel Flexibility (25%): Willingness and ability to travel as needed for onsite management and activation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Rigorous Project Management: Meticulously organized with a track record of driving complex timelines, managing concurrent workstreams, and executing flawlessly.
  • Cross-Functional Facilitation: Skilled at building consensus across internal teams, establishing clear processes, and keeping stakeholders aligned.
  • Sales Partnership: Direct experience aligning execution with both Customer Acquisition and Account Expansion sales teams in a B2B environment.
  • Tech Proficiency: Hands-on experience with event platforms and marketing stacks (e.g., Cvent, Salesforce, HubSpot).
