About the Role

Uber Freight is seeking an experienced Sr Sales Compensation Analyst to join our growing Total Rewards team. Our priority is to help our customer-facing teams sell more effectively and efficiently through data, analytics, and process improvement. This role will partner closely with Sales Compensation leadership, Sales, Finance, and Sales Operations to ensure accurate and strategic administration of sales incentive plans. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Own the implementation, tracking, and administration of Uber Freight’s sales incentive plans.
  • Analyze sales performance data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Support plan design through cost modeling, scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
  • Develop and maintain queries and dashboards to support compensation analytics and participant reporting.
  • Research and resolve incentive disputes raised by plan participants, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across compensation systems and reporting tools.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Compensation, Sales Operations, and Executive Leadership to ensure alignment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: sales compensation, sales incentive planning, sales operations analytics, compensation, or a similar field
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL (or other coding language) for data extraction and analysis
  • Experience with sales compensation platforms such as Varicent, Anaplan, Performio or Xactly
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, information systems, mathematics or economics
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and drive initiatives from concept to execution
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and compelling way
  • Experience implementing or optimizing sales compensation systems and tools
  • Understanding in freight, logistics, or transportation industries a plus

Employees working more than 30 hours in the US at Uber Freight are eligible for benefits like a company sponsored health plan, dental and vision benefits, 401k match, financial and mental wellness benefits, parental leave, short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance and more.  US based employees may also be eligible for a performance or sales incentive bonus program, participation in Uber Freight equity awards, and other types of compensation depending upon the role.

For Illinois based roles: The salary range for this role is $104,000 - $140,000 a year.
