Position Summary

Scientific Games LLC is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer who will Design, code, test, debug, and document changes to Lottery systems and related products.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Design, code and debug source code in one or more components of a lottery system.
  • Contribute to the gathering of requirements for proposed system modifications.
  • Participate in code reviews as assigned
  • Understand and follow the ongoing process of source code development within SG.
  • Help create and maintain project-related documentation in anticipation of internal and third-party audits. Follow shop standards for development work.
  • Participate as needed in the 24/7 support of production lottery systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science (or acceptable equivalent).
  • 8+ years programming experience.
  • Areas of core competency include SQL Server, T-SQL, ASP, ASP.net (VB and/or C#), XML.
  • Experience with SQL Reporting Services and RDL information is mandatory to cover Crystal Reports. Also, TFS and GIT experience are beneficial.
  • Any experience programming in a large-scale transaction processing system, a plus.
  • Knowledge of security-related best practices for web application development is a plus.
  • Possess valid papers and be available for occasional travel (5%), possibly on short notice.
