About the Role

As a Senior Technical Consultant in Workday Professional Services, you will lead integration workstreams for complex Workday deployments. You will partner with customers, functional consultants, and third-party vendors to discover requirements; design scalable solutions; build, test, and deploy integrations; manage delivery risks; and help customers achieve successful business outcomes.


This role combines hands-on solution delivery with technical leadership. You will translate HCM business requirements into scalable solutions, guide customers on integration strategy, and take ownership of technical deliverables from discovery through go-live. With AI at the center of how we work, you will also apply approved AI capabilities where they can improve delivery efficiency, quality, and customer outcomes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead integration discovery, design, build, testing, deployment, and go-live support activities.
  • Own integration scope, plans, risks, dependencies, deliverables, and quality.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable integration solutions.
  • Apply approved AI and automation capabilities where they provide a clear, secure, and supportable improvement over traditional approaches.
  • Guide customers through technical decisions and integration strategy.
  • Mentor consultants and promote technical standards, reusability, and leading practices.
  • Maintain relevant product expertise and Workday certifications.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise integrations for ERP, HCM, Financials, payroll, or related cloud applications.
  • 5+ years of customer-facing consulting or Professional Services experience.
  • Experience leading an integration workstream deployment lifecycle through discovery, design, build, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience with web services, APIs, XML or JSON, data transformation, secure file exchange, and integration security.
  • Proficiency in at least one relevant programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, .NET, SQL).
  • Familiarity with AI concepts, including LLM integration and agentic workflow design.

Other Qualifications

  • Workday integration experience or the ability to obtain an applicable Workday certification.
  • Experience with REST, SOAP, OAuth, SAML, X.509, EDI, XSLT, Java, JavaScript, Python, .NET, middleware, or comparable technologies.
  • Ability to use approved AI tools responsibly to accelerate analysis, documentation, testing, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer while protecting customer data and maintaining accountability for deliverable quality.
  • Strong customer-facing, facilitation, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience mentoring consultants and reviewing technical deliverables.
  • Ability to lead technical design decisions and clearly communicate options, risks, and recommendations.
  • Strong technical acumen, including the ability to understand, apply, and troubleshoot technical information and systems to enhance efficiency and problem-solving
  • Team player who will work across the organization and company to continue improving the way we serve our customers
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with AI product and platforms e.g., Sana, Claude, or similar) and designing/implementing LLM-based applications or orchestration frameworks.

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $122,800 USD - $184,200 USD


 

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $111,000 USD - $197,300 USD

Additional Considerations:

If performed in Colorado, the pay range for this job is $117,000 - $175,400 USD based on min and max pay range for that role if performed in CO.
