Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

This role supports the digital vision to modernize contract processes within Defense & Systems, specifically the implementation of a third-party SaaS Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) solution that will replace fragmented tools and improve operational efficiency, compliance, and collaboration. Working under the direction of the product owner, this role supports operational maintenance of the current application, Salesforce, and evolves to support the future CLM solution once it is implemented. The position partners with product and functional teams to help execute the roadmap and strategy for contract management across the Federal and commercial/civil spaces.

Project Management: Be part of transforming the future of Contract Management for Defense & Systems. Today's contract management process is fragmented: functional groups rely on multiple tools that create inefficiency, redundancy, and a lack of standardization across departments. A specialized CLM solution built for the unique contracting elements of the Federal and commercial/civil spaces will standardize processes, provide consistent reporting, and establish a unified toolset across D&S. In this role you will help execute the implementation strategy and roadmap, keeping the work aligned with business priorities under the direction of the product owner.

Operational Support: You will support ongoing operations and enhancements within the current application, Salesforce. You will work with functional owners to determine business value, prioritize needs, and define requirements. You will write user stories and partner with Salesforce Admins to develop new functionality. Following implementation of the future CLM solution, you will transition to supporting operations, enhancements, and day-to-day support for that product.

Visibility: Throughout, you will gain continuous exposure to senior leaders across the D&S DT team and the Contracts & Government Property organization, contributing to reliable system uptime and the delivery of modernized applications that support business growth and sustainability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience, OR an associate's degree with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, OR a High School Diploma with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience.

Desired Characteristics:

Domain & Technical Experience:

  • Familiarity with Salesforce administration or configuration, including writing user stories and partnering with administrators to deliver new functionality.
  • Experience working in an Agile delivery model.
  • Exposure to CLM or contract-management platforms is a plus.
  • Experience in a regulated or government-contracting environment (for example FAR, DFARS, CMMC, or ITAR) is a nice-to-have, not a requirement.
  • Able to make basic technology choices, analyze the impact of those choices, and stay current on relevant technology trends.

Delivery & Project Management:

  • Helps define the execution plan and approach based on project scope, expected timeline, and available budget and resources.
  • Follows established project management processes and practices, and looks for opportunities to simplify and improve them.
  • Helps manage project risks, scope changes, and other non-standard events across the life of the project.
  • Supports coordination with external vendors as needed.
  • Helps verify the quality of deliverables against stakeholder expectations, tracks outcomes against commitments, and captures lessons learned.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborates with business, functional, and technology partners to specify requirements.
  • Supports the execution team by helping resolve roadblocks and interdependencies with teams inside and outside the project.
  • Manages stakeholder communication and progress reporting, presenting clear rationale for issues and decisions.
  • Works effectively with global teams, including time-zone flexibility.
  • Shares knowledge and credit, building trust, credibility, and goodwill.

Personal Effectiveness:

  • Takes ownership of tasks and proactively identifies and removes obstacles for the team.
  • Breaks down problems, documents clear problem statements, and estimates effort.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, team-building, and problem-solving skills.

Notes:

The base pay range for this position is $95,000 to $150,000 annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on September 3rd, 2026.
