This position will be responsible for leading a capability to deliver software that provides exceptional business value to users.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Team Empowerment, Support, and Improvement
    • Supervise, mentor and support Technical Program Managers & Scrum Masters
    • Support and guide Technical Program Managers & Scrum Masters in the development and adherence of best practices and procedures
    • Ensure Technical Program Managers & Scrum Masters are properly facilitating team ceremonies
    • Facilitate Portfolio-level team ceremonies and remove any roadblocks to the team’s work.
    • Assist the team in making informed decisions by providing relevant information and facilitating discussions.
    • Ensure that decisions align with priorities at all levels of the portfolio or capability.
    • Foster collaboration between different functional areas within the organization, ensuring that dependencies are identified and managed effectively. Dependencies should be mitigated, owned and resolved.
    • Help the portfolio or capability teams adapt to evolving circumstances and stay focused on team goals.
    • Ensure team goals and deliverables are aligned with strategic initiatives and Scorecard objectives
    • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating retrospectives and feedback sessions.
  • Tooling, Metrics and Automation
    • Manage Azure DevOps boards to maintain established structure and processes.
    • Analyze data and create possible solutions to improve portfolio or capability performance.
    • Ensure monthly metrics are captured on a defined cadence and relevant insights are surfaced to inform improvements, unblock teams and highlight successes or challenges.
    • Own driving accountability through metrics data, understand performance indicators and leverage data proactively to lead teams to success or mitigate risks.
    • Review the performance indicators/metrics of the teams under your portfolio or capability and assist with determining solutions for improvement.
    • Ensure release planning activities are completed with the delivery teams as performed by capability teams. Advocate for the use of automation to streamline repetitive tasks and improve overall efficiency.
  • Resource Management
    • Manage resource allocation, ensuring that team members have the necessary tools, skills, and support to perform their tasks effectively.
    • Identify and address potential resource constraints or bottlenecks.
    • Report on resource utilization and manage capacity of the portfolio or capability.
  • Project Planning and Coordination
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and timelines, ensuring initiatives are aligned with strategic business objectives and focused on delivering measurable value.
    • Respond to changes in project scope, priorities, or requirements by adjusting plans and priorities accordingly.
    • Coordinate activities among team members and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Act as a liaison between the technical delivery teams and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and transparent communication.
    • Provide regular Portfolio Roadmap tracking and communication including updates on project/development progress, milestones, release commitments, and potential challenges to stakeholders.
    • Identify and assess project risks, working with the team to develop mitigation plans.
    • Proactively address issues and obstacles that may impact product delivery.
  • Technology Governance
    • Partner with business and technology leadership to create and implement processes for managing and tracking software development teams.
    • Work across business lines (CRE, RRE, Corporate) to standardize processes and drive the implementation and adherence of the Technology System of Delivery (SoD).
    • Suggest, analyze and implement improvements to the SoD.
    • Partner with Data and Analytics staff to create metrics and reports that support the portfolio and capability teams.
    • Create and maintain a repository for storage and communication of standard processes and procedures in SharePoint.
  • Other activities as may be assigned by your manager

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year College or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 12+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 2+ years in an VP level role or external equivalent.
  • Prior experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects. Agile certifications a plus: PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe
  • Experience overseeing multi-function project teams with at least 10-15 team members including Developers, Business Analyst, and QA personnel.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps (preferred) or Jira for managing work tasks.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with a Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool is a plus.
  • Experience directly managing staff.
  • Experience working remotely and household setup conducive to remote work.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models and extensive knowledge of both agile and traditional project management principles and practices.

The annual full time base salary range for this role is

$150,000.00 - $200,000.00

Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies. All full time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K; in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
