Mint House is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, this role will play a key part in supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with Finance and Operations. The ideal candidate has strong hospitality or STR accounting experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to grow within a dynamic, tech-forward company.
AT MINT HOUSE YOU WILL- Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting to ensure timely and accurate close.
- Provide direct support to the Controller, Senior Accounting Manager, and Accounts Receivable team on a variety of accounting tasks and special projects.
- Analyze financial data, investigate variances, and propose process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and Operations teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on accounting matters.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and organized financial records, supporting audits and compliance efforts as needed.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, helping to scale accounting operations as the company grows.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and develop skills to support broader accounting and finance functions over time.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, with a strong background in month-end close and financial reporting.
- Experience in hospitality, hotel accounting, or STR operations strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems, ideally NetSuite.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues, investigate root causes, and recommend solutions.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach when working across teams.
- A proactive and growth-oriented mindset, with a desire to expand into broader accounting or finance responsibilities.
Compensation: $75,000 USD
