The Delivery Enablement & Operations team within Auth0 is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to drive cross-functional delivery of our most strategic portfolio of work. We are looking for someone with a passion for technology, security and operational excellence. 


The Staff Technical Program Manager Opportunity


You will partner with senior product and engineering leaders in the Auth0 Product Unit to successfully plan and execute strategic programs, including customer-facing and AI innovation initiatives. You are a natural leader with a growth mindset who has led cross-functional teams, reaching across organizational silos in delivering highly complex initiatives.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Lead critical technical programs within our Platform & Security teams focused on resilience, scalability, and security initiatives
  • Orchestrate the planning, execution, and delivery of platform architecture improvements that enhance system reliability and fault tolerance
  • Champion chaos engineering practices to proactively identify and address potential failure points in our infrastructure
  • Guide cross-functional teams in implementing platform security controls while maintaining operational excellence
  • Coordinate architectural reviews and technical decision-making processes for major platform enhancements
  • Build strong relationships across engineering, operations, and product teams to align platform initiatives with business objectives

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field
  • 6+ years of technical program management experience with significant focus on backend/platform security
  • Deep understanding of backend technologies, cloud infrastructure, and security principles for distributed systems
  • Ability to communicate complex backend security concepts to both engineers and leadership
  • Excellence in managing multiple technical projects across distributed infrastructure environments
  • Experience collaborating with globally distributed engineering teams and willingness to travel as needed
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical decisions and drive security adoption in backend systems
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in backend vulnerability assessment and risk mitigation
  • Ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure while considering system architecture implications
  • Skill in translating technical backend security requirements to practical implementation strategies


And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following! 

  • Working at a high paced, fast growing tech startup
  • Experience with transformational programs, such as platform migrations or integrations

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:
$150,000$226,000 USD
