Position Summary

Mitutoyo America Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Strategic Business Manager to support the growth and expansion of our Global and Key Account business initiatives. This newly created role will serve as a strategic partner to leadership, helping identify business opportunities, support key customer relationships, drive growth initiatives, and improve operational effectiveness across the organization.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with executive leadership while collaborating with Sales, Technical Support, Service, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations teams to support strategic business objectives and long-term growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with executive leadership to support strategic planning and business growth initiatives.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within Global and Key Accounts.
  • Support existing global customers while pursuing new customer opportunities and market expansion efforts.
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams to strengthen customer relationships and support solution-based projects.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and business performance data to support strategic decisions.
  • Assist with the development and execution of growth strategies related to sales, technical support, service operations, and customer engagement.
  • Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, forecasts, and business analyses.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Support customer business reviews, strategic partnerships, and key account initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects focused on process improvement, new technologies, and business efficiency.
  • Assist with strategic planning related to new products, services, customer solutions, and market expansion opportunities.
  • Support special projects and organizational initiatives as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Management, technical discipline, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
    • Strategic business operations
    • Business development
    • Technical sales support
    • Industrial or manufacturing environments
    • Leadership support roles
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting executive leadership and strategic business initiatives.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, industrial automation, metrology, or technical service operations.
  • Experience analyzing data and developing actionable business recommendations.
  • Project management experience in a cross-functional environment.
