About the Team:

At Tegus by AlphaSense, we work directly with some of the world’s most well-respected institutional investors, corporations, and consultancies each day by providing real-time industry experts so they can make investment decisions faster.  We are persistent, have a strong work ethic, and make decisions with our customer’s top of mind.

Join a dynamic and results oriented team, responsible for managing and growing a book of business within our Expert Call Services department.

About the Role:

The Strategic Client Research Manager is responsible for owning and driving client growth, with a clear mandate to expand expert call volume and deepen client engagement quarter over quarter.

This is a client-facing role suited for individuals who combine consultative problem-solving with a strong “hunter” mentality. You will proactively identify opportunities, challenge clients to think differently about how they leverage our services, and translate insights into tangible growth.

You will partner with a team of Analysts to execute against your strategy, but your primary focus is building, expanding, and retaining high-value client relationships.

What You'll Do:
  • Own growth outcomes across your client portfolio, with clear accountability for increasing expert call volume, user adoption, and overall engagement.
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies, identifying whitespace, new use cases, and expansion opportunities within existing clients.
  • Proactively engage clients to uncover unmet needs, challenge assumptions, and position new ways of leveraging our platform.
  • Act as a commercial operator - identifying stalled accounts, reactivating dormant users, and driving urgency around underutilized opportunities.
  • Build senior-level relationships and influence key stakeholders through strategic conversations, not just service delivery.
  • Translate client objectives into actionable research strategies, guiding Analysts to deliver against high-impact priorities.
  • Identify and drive upsell opportunities by connecting client needs to broader platform capabilities.
  • Partner cross-functionally to remove friction, accelerate execution, and unlock growth across accounts.
  • Lead regular business reviews focused not just on performance, but on future growth opportunities and expansion strategy.

Who You Are:

  • 3+ years of experience in client-facing, account management, operational, or consultative roles with a strong track record of driving client growth and engagement.
  • Strong commercial instincts: you naturally identify opportunities, push for more, and are uncomfortable with stagnant accounts.
  • A “hunter” mindset: proactive, persistent, and energized by uncovering and closing growth opportunities.
  • Experience working with, operating, or selling into institutional investors, private equity, hedge funds, banks, or broader financial services is a strong plus.
  • Highly strategic thinker who can connect client needs to scalable opportunities across a portfolio.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and ownership; you don’t wait for direction, you create it.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive action.
  • Collaborative but assertive; you can partner cross-functionally while still pushing for outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Total Cash Compensation Range: $90,000 - $108,000 (Base: $75,000 - $90,000 + 20% Bonus)
