Summary:

 

In this role, you will bring deep healthcare knowledge, strong executive presence, and exceptional writing skills and demonstrate success in navigating strategic conversations with senior leaders, shaping messages that drive results. You will report to the AVP of Communication, and have a dotted line reporting structure to the VP of Kaufman Hall Marketing.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Use insights to continuously refine strategy and approach.

  • Partner with Kaufman Hall Marketing to create and execute a cohesive communications strategy that aligns with enterprise objectives and Kaufman Hall’s unique business goals.

  • Partner with PR and Thought Leadership teams to leverage content and media channels as part of an overall strategic communications plan for Kaufman Hall.

  • Develop subject matter expertise for Kaufman Hall—its offerings, competitive landscape, customer base, and market trends—to inform all communications with insight and precision.

  • Serve as a trusted counselor to Kaufman Hall President and senior leaders on communications strategy and positioning.

  • Lead speechwriting, message development, and presentation support for Kaufman Hall’s President across high-visibility engagements.

  • Manage Kaufman Hall-level internal executive communications, such as town halls and announcements.

  • Ensure message consistency and alignment across channels, in close coordination with marketing and communication stakeholders.

  • In partnership with Marketing, build and execute executive social media strategies that authentically amplify the Kaufman Hall President’s voice and elevate Kaufman Hall’s external presence.

  • Shape executive content that contributes to Vizient and Kaufman Hall’s thought leadership agenda in healthcare.

  • Monitor the effectiveness of communications efforts using data from channel engagement, executive feedback, event surveys, and progress toward Kaufman Hall and Marketing OKRs.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required.

  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise-level communications strategy and execution.

  • Strong executive presence and acumen is required.

  • Experience partnering with executive leadership to develop and activate messaging.

  • Expertise in internal communications, employer brand, and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to adapt messaging to diverse audiences.

  • Experience managing communications related to large-scale organizational change.

  • Ability to leverage data and insights to measure communications effectiveness and refine strategies.

  • Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and organizational communications best practices preferred.

  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $155,500.00.
