Summary:

The 12-month Leadership Trainee Program is designed to provide you with comprehensive leadership experience at one of our Tyson Beef production facilities. This program includes hands-on rotations throughout all functional areas of the location, giving you a thorough understanding of how each area supports the overall production strategy. 

Program Structure:

Rotational Training (9 Months): 

Gain hands-on experience in every business sector of the location. 

Learn about positions, equipment, and materials involved in each production process. 

Build relationships with hourly team members and shadow production supervisors. 

Assist supervisors and managers as needed. 

Focused Training (Last 3 Months): 

Receive hands-on training in a specific area. 

Aim for final placement into a leadership role. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Learn all aspects of the production facility by working directly with team members within each rotation. 
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure timely production of quality products. 
  • Observe and ensure the area operates at maximum capacity while maintaining high quality. 
  • Identify and resolve harvest and or production process issues. 
  • Ensure harvest or production resources are available to maintain schedules. 
  • Support continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost, and customer service. 
  • Anticipate and address delays in shift operations. 
  • Understand interactions between Accounting, Human Resources, Training, Health and Safety, Food Safety and Quality Assurance, and Production. 
  • Team members may relocate at the end of training for permanent placement.  

Qualifications: 

  • Degree required and candidate must have graduated with their bachelor’s degree or higher within the past 3 years. May 2025 Graduates will be considered.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. 
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to various roles within the facility. 

Final Placement:

The program aims to place trainees into leadership roles within the facility being trained in or must be willing to move to other facilities, leveraging the comprehensive experience gained throughout the program. 

Please note:

This position may be assigned either to 1st or 2nd shift. Must be willing to work both shifts and weekends. 

Tyson Foods will offer relocation assistance if the candidate is further than 50 miles from the facility

$43,000.00 - $86,000.00

Any listed amounts represent the base pay range. Additional compensation may be available for this position based on various factors such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses. Pay is just one part of Tyson’s total compensation package.
