SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER II OR III

*This position can be based out of Rockford IL - Niles IL - Zeeland MI - Fort Collins CO - Santa Clarita CA*

LEVEL II

  • Estimated annual base pay: $89,000.00(minimum) - $116,000.00(midpoint) - $142,000.00(maximum)

LEVEL III

  • Estimated annual base pay: $108,000.00(minimum) - $140,000.00(midpoint) - $173,000.00(maximum)

LEVEL II

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage WWD operational best practices in the supply chain.  Identify the key areas our suppliers need to improve and coach them to implement “needle moving” systems and tools.
  • Engage with suppliers to understand if they can deliver quality parts at the rate and lead time we need to satisfy our customers and if not, what countermeasures are required.
  • Supplier Performance Analysis: Evaluates supplier performance data to identify improvement opportunities and implement enhancement strategies.
  • Process Improvement Initiatives: Develops and executes process optimization plans to enhance supplier capabilities and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Partners with procurement, quality assurance, and engineering teams to facilitate effective supplier development and integration.
  • Training and Support: Provides informal guidance and training to new team members and suppliers to enhance technical skills and understanding of company requirements.
  • Issue Resolution: Identifies and resolves supplier related issues using technical expertise and judgment to maintain quality and timely delivery.

  • Supplier Relationship Management: Expert in building and maintaining strong partnerships with suppliers to enhance collaboration and performance.
  • Process Improvement: Skilled in analyzing and optimizing manufacturing and supply chain processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Successful candidates typically have:

  • 5+ years of industry experience in Operations, Supply Chain or Supplier Development
  • Engineering or other Technical degree preferred
  • Strong influential and communication skills

LEVEL III

Successful candidates typically have:

  • 10+ years of industry experience in Operations, Supply Chain or Supplier Development
  • Engineering or other Technical degree preferred
