As the Supply Chain Analyst, you will oversee all aspects related to product distribution, supply chain management, production scheduling and planning, and procurement of raw materials, supplies, and services to support production at the PPG Darien converting facility. You will share accountability with supervisor for maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse operation.

You will be based onsite at PPG's Darien, WI plant and report to the Converting Svc Mgr. PPG offers excellent Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits; matching 401k + retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay.

Responsibilities:

  • Safe and efficient warehouse operation
  • Efficient scheduling of plant conversion and coating equipment.
  • Work with customer service and Barberton Plant to arrange promise dates for shipments, based on the current plant loading and address “Emergency Orders”.
  • Manage finished goods, raw material, and operating supply inventories to ensure efficient balance between working capital cost and supply chain lead time requirements.
  • Help guide process flow of membrane material stored at Darien.
  • Active management of inventory to minimize yield loss and risk of obsolescence.
  • Optimize the information systems used for tracking, reporting, and controlling finished goods, raw materials, and supplies.
  • Work with Corporate and Regional purchasing to establish innovative raw material and supply sourcing options.
  • Conducts supplier audits, if needed.
  • Responsible annual physical inventories.
  • Continually determine and communicate lead time requirements for conversion and coating processes.
  • Track and report key metrics indicating supply chain performance. Respond to correct issues where metrics fall below targets.
  • Responsible procurement of special packaging, determine packing requests from customer service/sales for new products etc.
  • Shared responsibility for completing shipping paperwork, scheduling trucks, and containers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors with 3+ years of experience, OR high school diploma/GED with 5+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain analysis, production scheduling or other relevant function, excellent organizational skills and strong PC skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Knowledge of SAP considered a plus
  • Advanced Excel experience
