Department Overview
The Supply Chain organization is a fast-paced and dynamic environment, delivering world-class communications equipment and solutions for customers around the world. Our purpose is to deliver exceptional value and customer experience through agility, speed, and collaboration. We are designed to bring value, lead technology innovation, and provide Motorola Solutions a competitive advantage on revenue, cost, cash, and delivery.
The Motorola Solutions Demand Planning team plays a critical role in the global supply chain, ensuring that the company can meet the needs of its customers around the world. The team's primary responsibility is to create and manage the global demand plan for Motorola Solutions' diverse portfolio of products. The team works to anticipate the needs of a wide range of customers, from first responders who depend on essential devices like two-way radios and the supporting network infrastructure, to enterprises that utilize video security products like body-worn cameras, video management software, and AI-powered analytics. This requires a deep understanding of market trends, product lifecycles, and regional sales forecasts to ensure that all products are available when and where they're needed. Demand planning is also highly cross-functional. The team collaborates with many different teams to create a unified demand signal that is a critical input to the company's Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle, which is used to align business functions and drive strategic decision-making.
