The Boeing Company is seeking a Support Integration Specialist to join our team in Warner Robins, GA.
This role focuses on integrating logistics and sustainment considerations into engineering solutions for military fixed-wing aircraft modifications, ensuring seamless support throughout the product lifecycle. The successful candidate will collaborate across multiple disciplines to develop and implement comprehensive product support strategies, manage configuration control, and oversee the development of support resources such as technical data, training, and maintenance procedures.
In addition to leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with customers and stakeholders, this position requires strong program management skills and experience in aircraft sustainment or modifications. The role also involves mentoring junior team members and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance readiness, cost efficiency, and overall performance. Position Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the Product Support Systems Integration focal for C-17A design changes, ensuring the integration of logistics and sustainment considerations into engineering solutions from concept through fielding.
  • Plan, execute, and manage incorporation of all 12 product support elements for each modification effort, ensuring traceability of requirements, trades, and decisions.
  • Lead cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and coordinate across disciplines (airworthiness, avionics, structures, software, supply chain, maintenance, training, facilities, and test) to define support strategies, risk mitigations, and implementation plans.
  • Develop and maintain logistics support analyses (LSA), maintenance concept of operations, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Reliability/Maintainability analyses, and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) estimates tied to design changes.
  • Define, specify, and oversee development of support resources including support equipment, test equipment, technical data, training packages, spares provisioning, PHS&T, facilities modifications, and manpower estimates.
  • Establish and manage configuration control and change incorporation processes to ensure ordnance of baseline configuration and planned modifications; maintain interface control documentation (ICDs) and configuration baselines.
  • Create, review, and approve technical data packages (TDPs), maintenance procedures, and logistics implementation plans required to field modifications.
  • Represent Boeing to the customer for logistics and sustainment topics; support program reviews, sustainment planning briefs, certification and safety reviews, and contract deliverable negotiations.
  • Support system-level verification & validation (lab, ground, and flight test) activities with logistics participation, ensuring test support equipment, spares, and maintenance procedures are in place.
  • Implement obsolescence mitigation strategies and sustainment modernization plans; coordinate with supply chain and aftermarket/vendor partners to ensure long-term supportability.
  • Develop sustainment metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor readiness, cost, and performance post-fielding; implement continuous improvement actions.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers and logistics specialists in product support integration best practices and DoD/Boeing processes.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft sustainment, modifications, or product support engineering for military fixed-wing platforms
  • Experience developing and implementing product support strategies and delivering logistics solutions for aircraft modifications (minor and major)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience. (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Project Management, Business or related technical discipline; or equivalent experience
  • Strong programmatic skills - scheduling, cost estimating, risk management and trade studies for sustainment initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to coordinate with senior customer stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Prior hands-on experience with C-17A modifications, FAA/DoD certification processes, or fielding sustainment upgrades
  • Familiarity with aftermarket/vendor networks, depot-level maintenance processes, and supply chain resilience strategies

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for Experienced Level: $94,350 - $127,650
Summary Pay Range for Senior Level: $118,150 - $159,850
