Job Description

The System Administrator is responsible for coordinating all aspects Covista's enterprise systems ensuring all system administration activities are completed. Scope of work will be varied but will focus on supporting the multiple organizations utilizing the applications.

  • Work closely with business teams to understand business processes and translate those processes into application workflows.
  • Assist with implementation testing and projects.
  • Generate and provide training and training documentation as needed for multiple personnel, faculty, students, and help desk personnel.
  • Manage the development of knowledge base tools, processes, and workflows.
  • Write and execute software automation scripts, macros, and testing applications as needed to fulfill business objectives.
  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issues related to application use, design and configuration.
  • Ensures that all accounts are created accurately and within a timely manner. Manage multiple customer issues simultaneously. Responsible for ensuring all system configuration and administration are completed for multiple Covista brands.
  • Definition and creation of business rules.
  • Incident monitoring and reporting.
  • Data management and report creation.
  • Assist the business with case audits.
  • Data management and report creation.
  • Write and execute database queries and software automation scripts, macros, and testing applications as needed to fulfill business objectives.
  • Work with the helpdesk to set up email redirects.
  • Integrate new products (schools), categories, statuses, custom fields, standard responses etc., into existing structure.
  • Maintain interface documentation.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
  • Work with product vendor to resolve application issues as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology.
  • Two (2) plus years of IT System Administration experience.
  • Experience gathering business requirements.
  • Excellent oral/written communications skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with multiple organizations.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft windows and Office products.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of web base technologies.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $42,661.58 and $77,317.19. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
