Develops and integrates SysML architecture artifacts within a digital system model, enforces modeling standards and traceability, analyzes requirements, and oversees technical data packages and engineering deliverables. Collaborates with contractors, government customers, and internal engineering teams to align technical, programmatic, and contractual objectives.
Job Description
In this role, the Systems Engineer will support essential Digital and Systems Engineering processes, systems architecture, and lifecycle management activities across the T-6A Avionics Replacement Program (ARP).
This position will support the Lead Systems Engineer with digital and systems engineering activities in support of the primary flight and secondary avionics architecture upgrades for a fleet of 440 T-6A Texan II aircraft. This position provides a high-visibility and rewarding opportunity to support the modernization of the Air Force's primary trainer aircraft fleet.
Additionally the Systems Engineer will leverage Systems Modeling Language (SysML) to develop, refine, and integrate architecture artifacts within a comprehensive Digital System Model (DSM). To ensure modeling quality and consistency, the role is responsible for designing, implementing and enforcing a SysML style guide that promotes rigorous traceability across all activities. Additionally, the position will support requirements development and analysis, overseeing the delivery of Technical Data Packages and system engineering artifacts to manage integration throughout the system lifecycle and foster full alignment with program and customer objectives. The role requires frequent interaction with the Prime Contractor, Government customers, and multiple internal functional areas. Successful candidates can balance complex technical objectives with programmatic and business considerations, ensuring alignment with overall mission and contractual goals.
